MountlakeTerrace

Mountlake Terrace is a small city north of Seattle. The beer lies to the east of the station and is a short walk along the lovingly named 236th Street SW, passing cute little bungalows that you can’t help thinking will soon be replaced by more carbon copy apartments. Hemlock beckons on the right as you reach the inspirationally named 56th Ave W. After Hemlocking, you can cruise north to Diamond Knot, which is on the left, just before the next set of lights.

Hemlock

Hemlock has a slightly sanitized industrial feel to it, probably because it’s in a clean and shiny and new building that houses the gleaming kettles and the clean and exposed interior. It has a smattering of pun-bunctiously named beers that leave you hazed and amused. Best opt for a flight.

Diamond Knot

Diamond Knot Brewpub @ MLT is a large brewpub, that has a large selection of beers (~14) and an even larger selection of food of the US pub fare variety. It’s got that weekend brunch vibe that will make you want to pop by for their burgers, or pizza, or fish and chips – OK, so not quite brunch. Lunner.
