BelRed Station, named for the BelRed Road—so called because it links Bellevue to Redmond—is tucked into what’s currently a modest industrial and warehouse zone. The station itself is strikingly minimalist, fronted by a large parking lot to the north. I’m sure, even as I write this, old buildings are coming down and new multistory ones are shimmering into place. If you’re chasing something that still feels distinctly “Eastside,” this might be your place. Hurry while supplies of authenticity last.
If you’re looking for another outlet to enjoy Bellevue Brewing Company (BBC) beer, Cascadia Pizza is your spot. Housed in BBC’s original location—complete with its original charm and the original “dingy” industrial feel (their words, not mine)—it’s an excellent place to max out your carb intake by pairing beer with pizza. (Please don’t dunk.) It’s a perfect alternative to the BBC taproom on those wild summer weekends—or if you’re more into rustic vibes than modern gloss.
